The process of EDI water filtration technology

The system's inlet water is tap water meeting QCVN 02:2009/BYT (National technical regulation on domestic water quality). Then, the water is carried out the following treatment steps:  

• Multistage filter column containing quartz sand, manganese sand: remove suspended solids and some metal ion components in water  

• Activated carbon filter column: absorb redundancy chlorine, deodorize, and organic compounds in water. 

• Ion exchange column:  Remove ion Mg2+, Ca2+... in the water, and soften water. 

• Cartridge filtration column: The size of the filter core slots is below 5µm that helps to remove suspended solids, protects RO membrane before putting water into the RO membrane.  

• RO filtration membrane: the outlet water source of RO filtration membrane is pure, no stranger ions, bacteria, fungi, or algae.

• EDI device: Water conductivity reduced less than 0.1µS/cm after going through the EDI device that meets the quality standards of water used for the plating industry.

• Disinfection: UV lamp or Ozone system (supplied by air generator) will kill bacteria arising in the pipeline.

• Bacteria filtration: Water is passed through the bacteria filter core before being put into production.
